01 — The material
We supply the suppliers. Buy it direct instead.
Black sand is produced by crushing hard rock — mostly gabbro and other igneous stone — from the mountain quarries of the northern UAE. Unlike dune sand, the grains are angular and sharp. That is what makes it lock together, compact tightly and hold a level once it is screeded.
It is the most-used sand on any UAE site. Block factories mix it with OPC for dry mortar. Contractors run it under pavers and artificial grass, behind kerbs, between slabs and as general fill. It takes cement well, drains, and the colour stays even load after load — so your finished work looks the same on the last block as it did on the first.
BHMK is one of the largest black sand suppliers in Dubai. We move 1,800–2,700 m³ a day, and a good share of it goes to other suppliers and traders — if you have bought black sand in this market, there is a fair chance it came through us. Buying direct removes that layer.
